Playing with other musicians changes everything.

Student Bands are Tommy's flagship ensemble offering for young musicians ready to rehearse, listen, perform, record, and feel what music is like when everyone is pulling together.

Playing with others

Students learn timing, listening, song form, cues, compromise, and the confidence that comes from being part of a real group.

Stage skills

Rehearsals build performance habits: counting in, recovering from mistakes, setting up gear, and knowing how to finish strong.

Performance opportunities

Groups can work toward a dress rehearsal, recording-focused session, and final performance goal when the band is ready.

Confidence building

Students get a safe place to be heard, take musical risks, and discover they can contribute to something bigger.

Ensemble experience

Drums, bass, guitar, piano, ukulele, percussion, brass, strings, and other instruments can all have a place in the right group.

Flexible grouping

Families can bring an existing group, or Tommy can help think through a good fit based on age, instrument, and experience.

Rehearse quietly. Finish loudly.

The program can use headphone-based rehearsals with mixer-style monitoring, then move toward live amps, acoustic drums, recording, and performance goals as students develop.
